Nurture Gallery

This Nurture Gallery is dedicated to my hero, Mr. Lynn Loomis.
Welcome to the Nurture Gallery. In these chaotic times, it is easy to feel ungrounded, disillusioned or just plain exhausted. We need to take a "time out" to remember what is real. The Nurture Gallery is created for you to enjoy, to remember what or who is supporting and sustaining you. Support for each other is the imperative of the times.
One of my supportive heros is my high school concert choir teacher, Mr. Lynn Loomis, who is pictured here. At a time in my life where I was at the mercy of the up-and-down days of teenage insecurity, feeling alien, Mr. Loomis and my concert choir companions were a haven. He loved all of our pimply faced, raging hormone antics. Or at least he didn't let on when we drove him crazy. His love for the kids was a shining beacon of home. We felt supported, and most importantly, we felt seen.
The energy and memory of Mr. Loomis has been with me all these years. I love him now as I loved him then. Though his red hair has weathered to gray, the twinkle in his eye, and the beauty of his soul are ever present, shining brightly through these pictures that he has taken in his travels. He has graciously shared them for this gallery.
He no longer teaches in the classroom of the high school, but through the presence of his day-to-day life and these beautiful photographs. I hope in some small way, this dedication gives back something of what he gave to me. To Lynn and Louise...Thank you.
In Love.
